305.5 - Standard Cigarettes for Ignition Strength and Ignition Resistance Testing

SRM 1082 is intended for use by test laboratories to assess and control their testing of cigarette ignition in accordance with ASTM Standard Methods E 2187-16).  SRM 1196 is intended for use by test laboratories to test mattresses, upholstered furniture and its components, and thermal insulation for resistance to cigarette ignition in accordance with 16 CFR 1632, 16 CFR 1634 (proposed) and 16 CFR 1209.
